We had researched a reverse mortgage for 8 months before we met Doug Ruiz of Cal West Mortgage, and by that time knew all of the ins and outs of reverse mortgage, types, advantages and even down-sides of them. We must have talked with 12 brokers along with Doug. But we found that not only was Doug more explanative, but he was able to find us the best plan for our purposes and at the least costs that could be found.

Doug was able to save us around $20,000 in all-around costs we would have had to incur with another Broker we had been thinking of going with. He is amiable, easy to understand with the details of reverse mortgages, and can show you just where you will be advantaged by going into reverse mortgage. We have to say he made it easy every step of the way. One can't go wrong with a reverse mortgage through Doug Ruiz for ones security and future peace of mind. We swear by him.

To Seniors looking for a better tomorrow:

I am writing this letter to let you know how and why I feel reverse mortgages and Doug Ruiz are two of the best choices i ever made.

I was a new widow trying to figure out a way to live with what I had and not have to go back to work. I still owed on my home and could make my bills but that was it! I only hoped nothing extra would be coming up.Then one day I went to the senior center in Yucaipa and saw a flyer about a speaker coming in to talk about reverse mortgages;up to this point I had never heard of such a thing; as I read down the flyer I realized I would not be able to go hear that speaker but for some reason I couldn't get this reverse mortgage out of my head. But who could I trust to give me the right information about something as important as my home? I had a friend for several years that was in banking, maybe she would know something about this! She did know a little, but said she knew a man Doug Ruiz that did reverse mortgages and she had dealt with him on some banking business and felt he was someone she could trust with her own business; well that brought me to Doug Ruiz! I called Mr. Ruiz and from the get go I felt he was up front and honest!!!! He has always answered any and all of my questions of which I always have many and never acts like any are to small or not important. Since he is a small reverse mortgage business, he takes that extra time to make sure we understand everything.

How am I two years later? I have no house payment any more, I had money to make several improvements on my home, no bills, got a new car, (not a fancy one) and have money in the bank! How great is this!!!!! One thing I learned, "Life can be taken away in a minute and we deserve to live in our later years worry free."

When asked to write a sentence or two expressing my experience with Doug and obtaining reverse mortgage you can see I always have a lot to say!
